About The Podcast
Ever wonder what it really takes to turn cacao beans into chocolate?
The Chocolate Pod takes you behind the scenes with craft chocolate makers, chocolatiers, and pioneers shaping the world of craft chocolate. In every episode, we unwrap the stories behind the chocolate, sharing lessons learned, challenges overcome, and the pure joy that comes from transforming cacao into something remarkable.
How It Started
If you’ve been to a craft chocolate festival recently, you might have seen me (Zack) and my wife (Darlene) dressed in chocolate-themed outfits. I attend as the “Golden Ticket,” and she usually steals the show as the “Chocolate Queen.” What started as a fun way to show our enthusiasm for chocolate turned into something bigger. Festival attendees began requesting photos, vendors asked if we would be willing to hold their products for social media posts, and we quickly became part of the festival experience, and we absolutely love it!
As we continued traveling to chocolate festivals, we began to notice how many incredible stories are behind each chocolate bar. Stories about people who left careers to chase a dream and the courage it takes to start a business during uncertain times. These stories deserve to be told, and we want to do what we can to help share them.
Where We're Headed
The Chocolate Pod exists because craft chocolate entrepreneurs work incredibly hard, and they deserve a platform that genuinely wants to amplify their work. Each podcast episode is an opportunity to learn, explore, and celebrate exceptional craft chocolate alongside listeners who feel the same way.
We are currently interviewing craft chocolate makers and attending chocolate festivals across the United States. This year, we are looking forward to attending more festivals, hosting live tasting experiences, and finding new ways to introduce people to the world of craft chocolate.
